Fiori Palace

Palazzo Fiori on Via Bertoloni was restored by the Capitani family in the early 19th century. On the ground floor there is a white marble portal in the middle of the façade and there are two marble arches on each side. On the sides of the atrium are four niches that were designed to house busts or statues, only the pedestals of which can still be seen today. On the front door is a quote by Horace (“Me expectat serena senectus”) that seems to indicate that the owner expected to live in the home for a long time and grow old there happily.
